Blue Aura is a CFA-registered cattery located near Sacramento, California. We are blessed with the mentorship and guidance from the most experienced Russian Blue breeders to build the foundation of our breeding program.

At Blue Aura Cattery, we commit to ethical and responsible breeding for the cat's quality, health, and temperament. Breeding Russian Blue kittens that meet the CFA standard is our goal. However, our primary purpose is to preserve and protect the breed for future generations. All cats in Blue Aura Cattery tested negative for FeLV / FIV; all breeding cats in Blue Aura Cattery are genetically tested.

The breeding program was created based on my passion for this breed. I started as a Russian Blue pet owner and owned two beautiful Russian Blue pets. Words can't express how much I am bonded with my cats. I am truly grateful for all the effort breeders put into the breed. Without them, Russian Blue may become extinct. Therefore, I want to do my best to give back to this community. You, as a potential parent of our future kitten, are part of the process too:)

• This breed is NOT Hypoallergenic •
If you are allergic to cats, you are allergic to a Russian Blue.

If you learned about this breed from…let’s say Wikipedia, then you are simply being falsely informed. Wikipedia is never used as an acceptable academic source for a reason. We have no idea how the idea that the Russian Blue cat is hypoallergenic got started—but it wasn’t from Russian Blue breeders. And if anyone would know about the workings of this remarkable breed, it would be the people who have lived with them for years 24/7. Please read this article to learn more. • BLUE AURA KITTENS •

Kittens are home-raised, and they leave at the age of 16 weeks.

We recently changed the price of our kittens from $2200 + pending surgery fee to $2500 ( surgery included ). I’ve tried my best to keep the expense low, but in Northern California, it has been a challenge, I spoiled my cats with high-quality food and litter.

The deposit amount is $500, this is non-refundable and non-negotiable.

The deposit will go toward the final amount. The idea of a deposit is to ensure our kitten owner is financially committed to getting a kitten. It will also help me to have a much better idea of how many kittens are truly spoken for. We will request an additional $1000 upon selection of your chosen kitten, this typically happens around 2-3 months old, sometimes it can be longer because we reserve the right to have our “pick” for our breeding program. The remaining balance of $1000 will be due upon your kitten's collection.

We do prefer kittens to go home as a pair, while each kitten is $2500, we are willing to honor a discount price on the second kitten:)

Our price comes with a complete set of vaccinations ( 3 sets of Vaccines + rabies, which means your kitten is done for its first year ☺️ )

Blue Aura follows the AAHA / AAFP Feline vaccination protocols
We will perform FeLV / FIV tests on each of our kittens
We will perform a fecal test on each of our kittens
Kittens will be dewormed
Kittens will receive monthly topical Revolution prevention treatment
Kittens will get their Microchip

*16 weeks is the minimum age to receive a rabies vaccine by law and regulation.
*Insurance offer: you can activate this on the pickup day. It’s free for 30 days. You will have the option to opt-in to a regular plan before the plan ends, or you can simply let it expire. The 30-day offer won’t charge you extra.

• Adoption Process •

Step 1: Introduction

Contact us through our contact form and introduce yourself. Cold emails will not get a response. If you can provide more information on the lifestyle you would like to provide to your kitten, that will give us more confidence in sending you a questionnaire.

Step 2: Conversation

Once we feel confident that you will provide good care of a kitten, we will update you on the approximate wait time and follow up when a litter is born.

Step 3: Deposit ( will go towards the total cost)

Once a litter is born, we follow up with our kitten owners who have completed our questionnaire. A non-refundable deposit is requested to secure a kitten.

The idea of a deposit is to ensure our kitten owner is financially committed to getting a kitten. This helps us to have a much better idea of how many kittens are spoken for.

The non-refundable deposit for a kitten guarantees you a kitten from the litter if one is available. Once it’s guaranteed, no other buyers will have your kitten. The deposit will be deducted from the final price of the kitten when you pick it up.

Step 4: Pick your kitten

It depends on where you are on the list and depends on your preference. Sometimes you get to choose between kittens, and sometimes only one is available. Sometimes you know which kitten is available at week 4. Sometimes, you need to wait until they are older.

If there are 2 potential “keepers,” and we are picking one to keep, we would like to wait until the kitten is a bit older to make our pick. We will communicate with you if this happens!

We will create an album (folder) for each of our kittens from day 1, and parents will have access to the album of their kitten closer to the pick-up date. We hope you enjoy those photos, and we don’t want you to miss out on their precious baby age!

Step 5: Kitten

The rest of the amount is due before pick up. The kitten will be in its new carrier, and I will have all the documentation ready for you. You will now become a Russian Blue kitten owner and experience how great this breed is!
