β€’ BLUE AURA KITTENS β€’

Our Kittens & Pricing

Our kittens are lovingly raised in our home and stay with us until they are at least 16 weeks of age. This gives them plenty of time to develop, socialize, and receive the veterinary care they need before joining their new families.

Our pet kittens are $3,500–$3,800, which includes their spay/neuter surgery. We feed high-quality food and health-test our breeding cats as part of our commitment to producing healthy, well-cared-for kittens.

Once kittens are born and available for reservation, a 50% deposit of the total kitten price is required to reserve your kitten. The remaining 50% balance is due prior to the scheduled spay/neuter surgery.

Professional Veterinary Care

Unlike breeders who may purchase and administer vaccines themselves to reduce costs, we choose to have all vaccinations and wellness examinations performed by a licensed veterinarian. Each kitten receives professional veterinary care from an early age, with their vaccinations, examinations, and other relevant medical information properly documented in a veterinary record that goes home with their new family.

We take the same approach to spay and neuter surgery. Rather than choosing a high-volume, low-cost program simply to minimize expenses, we use an established veterinary practice where the veterinary team has cared for our kittens since their first vaccinations. This continuity allows them to become familiar with each kitten and provide individualized attention, appropriate monitoring, and follow-up care.

Think about it this way: if you were preparing for an important surgery yourself, would you simply choose the lowest-cost option, or would you feel more comfortable knowing you had a trusted, experienced medical team by your side? We apply that same mindset to the care of our kittens. When it comes to their health and surgery, our priority is quality of care, experience, and peace of mind - NOT finding the cheapest option.

We also value creating positive veterinary experiences from an early age. Gentle, routine visits help our kittens become accustomed to being handled and examined in a veterinary environment, which can make future visits easier and less stressful for both the cat and their family.

We prioritize professional examinations, complete medical documentation, continuity of care, and attentive care throughout each kitten's time with us.

This level of care comes at a higher cost, and it is one of the reasons our kittens are priced accordingly. ☺️

β€’ BLUE AURA Young Adults β€’

Every now and then, we may have young adults ranging from 8 mo - 1 year old up for adoption. They will be priced at about $2000 + spay/neuter ( price may vary based on individual cats) and will be spayed or neutered. These cats could either be ones we initially selected for the cat show but decided not to keep for breeding purposes or cats we retained for our program but didn't meet our development expectations. In either scenario, these young adults are available for adoption. This could be a great opportunity for those who are:

  • Looking for a slightly older cat who is more mature

  • Love them no matter the age

This is not as common and we might not have any young adults available.

β€’ WAITLIST β€’

We don't maintain a paid waitlist since it's challenging to anticipate our kitten availability due to our small cattery size and fluctuating cat numbers. Taking deposits before pregnancy isn't practical as we aim to prevent situations where there's a mismatch between anticipated and actual kitten numbers. Sometimes parents can get upset when the litter size is small, and there isn’t one for them.

It's important that our cats' well-being takes precedence, and we prioritize natural breeding over breeding under pressure.

We prefer to inform potential adopters about our current and upcoming litter plans. If you express ongoing interest and a litter is born, chances are high that you can place a deposit after the kittens are born. This approach ensures transparency and respects the natural breeding rhythms of our cats. Larger catteries with more consistent breeding schedules may opt for formal waitlists, but for us, it's about fostering a genuine connection between our kittens and their future families.

Once a litter is born and we know how many kittens we have, we follow up with people on our contact list and take a deposit to secure a kitten for them. We kindly request your understanding that once a kitten is reserved under your name and a deposit is received, we decline other potential buyers. While your deposit can be applied to another kitten in the future, please note that we do not offer cash refunds for deposits if you decide to back out.
